My Teef My Teef!!!!!

Since we got the New Dora electric toothebrush it is all about brushing those teeth!!! She would brush them all day long if I let her..I will take this any day over trying to pry that toothebrush between her lips..She doesn't even seem to mind the Weleda Children's tooth gel I put on it..

Natural Consequences

This morning it was FREEZING!!!!!! Lily had feety jammies on..But alas she is very facinated with not only zippers but undressing herself as well.It was probably 30 degrees out and drafty in our apt.I bet I put those pajamas back on her 3 times before I just left her to run around in her diaper..Well...Hence Natural Consequences..She got cold..She grabbed a flannel pajama bottem out of a basket I had folded(but hadn't put away yet)and proceeded to "try" to get them on.

I missed the shot of her putting both legs in one pant leg trying to get them on..This one is of her determined to put it on another way..Over her head...The second picture is of her ripping it off and holding it out and yelling "HELP ME!!!!!!

Haven't had much time to post ..Finally a day off but not much computer time..

Just to let everyone know we got our Zander back..He is back with his mom the way it should be..And I can pretty much guarantee it won't ever happen again..

On a Lily note...Got another goose egg dancing the hokey pokey at daycare...Her and a little friend fell down hard dancing together..Both girls got goose eggs..

Trying this new Chicken Stew Recipe in the crockpot today..Hopeful Her High Pickyness will eat it...It is Gluten Free,Casein Free,Soy Free and Feingold stage 2 for all our allergic friends..I will let you know the turn out but here it the recipe anyhow...

Crockpot Chicken Stew

2 lbs Chicken breast,cubed
2 Cups Chicken broth(I use either hm or Pacific)
3 cups potatos(cubed)
1 cup onion,diced very small
1 cup celery,diced small
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp sage
1/2 tsp thyme
6 onz can tomato paste
1/4 cup water
3 T cornstarch

In slow cooker combine 1st 11 ingredients.Cover and cook on high 4 hours.Mix water and corn starch in shaker and mix till smooth.Stir into stew and cook covered for another 30 minutes..

A Parent's Worst Nightmare

Please keep our Little Zander in your thoughts and prayers..He has been taken without his mother's consent.Hopefully this will be resovled with peace and very quickly..

Genesis

The Beginning...While it is not the start of our journey it is my first post that I have been promising everyone in I land forever now..Will post pictures later..

This blog will revolve around Lily..What her life is like and how mine has changed just by having her sweet soul in my life..Whether it is a post about Lily's shenanigans',being gf/cf/sf,going to daycare or just plain wanting to talk about her it will be around our world together and our journey into the future as a family.

First as many of you know Lily is my 2 year old granddaughter..I have raised her since birth and have had sole custody of her since 2 1/2 months.My special needs son and his girlfriend are unable to parent..Although they love Lily it isn't going to be possible for them to raise her themselves.This is the first and only time I will ever blog about why my son cannot parent..That is not the focus of this blog..Although I will probably blog about my son himself..For he is a part of our family and very much a part of our lives.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!! I am very thankful that the Lord had a special plan for me all along...

And last but not least..A Lily story..

Yesterday at daycare Lily was running across the floor..She knows she is not supposed to do that but who ever said reasoning with a just turned 2 year old was easy..LOL

Well of course she slipped and fell and boinked her little head..Her teacher picked her up and loved on her and said don't run anymore..Well what does this precocious child of mine do?LOL

She ran across the floor and slipped and fell in the EXACT same spot she had fallen not a minute before...Crying she got up walked over to the sink,grabbed a paper towel and went and started wiping up that elusive "puddle" that keeps making her fall.LOL...

No puddle but hey she had to blame it on something other that herself didn't she? Whoever said a 2 year old wasn't as smart as Einstein himself?
